'The Rocky Muppet Horror Picture Show' invading your brain at 5am is the sort of thing that sleep was designed to stop you from having. Kermit and Miss Piggy singing 'Dammit Janet' and Animal recast as 'Eddie' is just too promising a concept though. I think i broke my brain though imagining Miss Piggy and Dr Frank 'N' Beaker though :( |

gacked from lord_alexander...
 - You Are The Marauder
"I shall rule over all."
You play as the Villan. Your ideas of 'Right', 'Wrong', and 'Justice' differ vastly from most people. You see that hardships simply make you stronger and strive to reach your full potential for your own personal reasons. You believe that your life and your destiny is in your own hands and take full advantage of the benefits. Not many people understand you or what you are trying to accomplish, but that does not matter to you - they will all see with time. People may seem simpleminded or unintelligent to you, and those that do are brushed aside just as easily as their ideas. Because of all that has happened around you and your quest, you are not afraid to face what lies ahead.

It's been a few weeks but I can now finally report that i do indeed have a job now!!!! :D It's nothing very exciting...I'm going to be working in the offices of the Child Support Agency as a temporary employee. But a job nonetheless it is and it means I no longer have to feel like such a worthless piece of crap that nobody would ever employ... I start next Monday. Still it's better than the alternatives - temping as nightcrew warehousing staff or doing customer service satisfication surveys...
:D :D :D |

| Ballyclare Library |
[Jun. 18th, 2005|02:25 am] |
Library has shit collection of books. They don't even have populist guff like Dan Brown in it never mind anything I'd like to read. Its target demographic seems to be 'middle aged woman' , 'child' and 'old man in hospital' hence having entire rows of books categorised as 'romance' or 'western' and a child section. However I managed to find some Terry Pratchett and The Life of Pi to keep me reading on. The real bonus of the library is the DVD rental section. 2.50 for a week and it includes things like the new releases of films and tv such as 'The West Wing' , 'Twin Peaks' and 'Six Feet Under' ... So now have entire 1st season of SFU to feast on (and rip and burn!) |

Day 1 in the family residence. Stewart makes an excellent start by managing to sleep through the morningy hours, arising around 2pm. He wakes to another summer job rejection. Only Antrim left now. Fills several hours of tedium with not a lot. As the brother is off work today he takes residence on the Internet leaving me only the Su Doku for entertainment. I completeted 11 of them today; at this rate the book won't last another week. The parents continued to be about and under my feet and by God but the littlest instructions are grating me... I've got too used to doing things in my own time and pace (or in some cases not at all!) Was forced to listen to the CD of happy-clappy Goddy music and couldn't complain for fears of upsetting religious sensibilities. Am working through the laundry and tidying in my room because I am that bored. You can hardly access my room because with my luggage and the stuff stored in there. When I say so I get told off for whining..however when someone else barges in and can't get to the wardrobe then it's my fault. Am going to the library tomorrow - hopefully theyll have good dvds to rent...like more Twin Peaks! |

[May. 31st, 2005|08:49 pm] |
I hate travelling so much. It just never seems to work for me. I went back to Northern Ireland today for a job interview which i have tomorrow. The plan was that i was going to get the 11.22 train to Edinburgh and then the bus to the airport as usual which would've had me in plenty of time for my flight at 1.50. However for some inexplicable the 11.22 train was not running and the office was closed too (bank holiday perhaps?) and the next train didn't run till 12ish which would've been cutting it too fine. So i had to fork out for a taxi there! So i saw the advertisement that said it was 50 quid and decided that was my only option. So i went to the taxi rank and asked the guy how much it would cost. He quoted me sixty...as did the next guy and on down... So i phoned the number of the firm who advertised the taxis and they agreed to send me a taxi...who was it but one of the taxis that quoted me sixty! *sneaky gits* |
